Learn Laser Cutting
At Republikkens Create’s laser cutting beginner course, you will learn the basics needed to operate a laser cutter on your own. The course lasts 45 minutes, and you are welcome to bring your own project so we can review it together. During the course, you will:
- Be introduced to which materials can be cut and engraved
- Learn how to prepare files for laser cutting
- Try laser cutting yourself and adjust the laser settings to suit your design and choice of material
Practical information
Open 9-17
The workshop is open from 9-17 (9 AM to 5 PM) on weekdays, and the laser can be booked for anywhere from 30 minutes to a full day.
Assistance Available
Staff are available near the workshop throughout opening hours, where you can get assistance for 100 DKK per commenced 15 minutes.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be made no later than 48 hours before the booked time. Otherwise, the full booking fee will be charged.

After the Course
After the course, you will gain access to our booking system and can freely use the laser cutter on your own. As part of the booking, we offer a cut-through guarantee. If the issue is caused by the laser, you will not have to pay for a new booking and you will receive a replacement session at our expense.
You will be able to laser cut wood (e.g. MDF and plywood), plastics (e.g. acrylic and foam), as well as paper-based materials (e.g. cardboard and thin paper).
The laser cutters can be booked in slots starting from 30 minutes and can cut materials up to 1200 × 600 mm in size. Before starting your job, you should estimate the cutting time to ensure it can be completed within your booked slot.
